One of the hardest things for me to do is to talk about myself. Do I go with the full bio or just keep it to the finer talking points? Basically who and what I am is me. I'm a son, brother, uncle and friend. I'm a photographer as well as a web developer. I'm a sports fanatic along with being a major political junkie. I love to read books on history especially during the time periods of WWII and during Native American struggles back in the late 1800's. I have a passion for writing and being creative in general.
I started doing photography back in 2005 when I was living in the Boston, MA area. I would go bird watching on Plum Island and I wanted to photograph some of the raptors that were flying about the sanctuary. I went to the store and picked up a Kodak P-850. I bought a few lens attachments but I felt I wanted more control of my camera as well as photos. The big decision was either Canon or Nikon. Both are great cameras but when I put that Nikon D70s in my hand I knew then that was the one. I out grew that camera as well and bought a D300. I already out grew that as well. My photography has not one specific focus. I love photographing anything I find interesting. I love nature and landscape shots and I could photograph urban scenes with the same passion. I never wanted to pigeon hole myself into just one thing.
This website is my portfolio of my best images. I take great pride in photographing these photos. Every photo has a story and I think that is the way it should be. A photo should tell a story minus the words that make up a story. These are my best stories. I use to strictly adhere to the rules of photography once I learned them. Now I break them as much as I can. I love the freedom photography gives me to be creative. In the end isn't that what it's all about? Being creative and allowing your passion and ideas to run free. Photography has allowed me to do that and these images represent that.
So that is me in a nutshell. Just a bunch of craziness wrapped in thoughts and ideas. Always striving for more, always yearning to learn more. If you think your education ends at a high school or college diploma, then you are missing out on what life is all about.
